Meet Alanna Victor!

About Alanna

Alanna Victor is an intelligent and diligent PR professional and summer 2023 graduate of Florida A&M University. Born in Knoxville, TN, and raised in Atlanta, GA, Alanna is the oldest of 6 and an avid community leader who believes in working hard to be a positive role model for those who come after her.

At FAMU, she was deeply involved and dedicated to being the change she wanted to see on campus. She was PR chair for the Woman Student Union and the Class of 2023 Presidential Cabinet. She has explored many areas of interest through writing articles for the FAMUAN and hosting a radio show on 90.5 the Flava Station, both student-led publications. In addition, she is a member of the FAMU chapter of SISTUHS Incorporated, The Original Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and The FAMU chapter of Images Modeling Troupe. Alanna has obtained many volunteer hours through her various campus organizations and continues to help her community in any way she can.

As an undergrad, Alanna completed many different internships that provided her with experiences and perspectives on her next steps after graduation. From working as a creative intern at Tyler Perry Studios to working as a production assistant for BET Networks, she has become familiar with the television and film industry. The most significant internship that impacted her would be the 8-week-long PRep school program through Golin, a PR Firm based in Chicago, IL. While there, Alanna gained hands-on experience working in public relations.

Upon graduating, Alanna was offered a seasonal role with Golin, where she worked on their Walmart account and continued to perfect her craft. She is now completing a micro internship with PDC Brands, where she is a creative intern focusing on market research and product development for their main client, Cantu.

Alanna chose Public Relations because of her love for communications and learning about the brands and companies she utilizes daily. In-depth research, limitless creativity, and staying up to date on trends to find new ones to implement are all skills she feels are imperative in the Public Relations industry. She feels it is crucial to always stay on brand and build on the trust established early on. Alanna hopes to expand on these skills and philosophies and continue to grow as a PR professional as she looks to find her work home.
